Epiphone Slash Les Paul Standard Appetite Burst Inspired by Gibson Collection - Amber Burst (2022)

Part of Epiphone’s hugely acclaimed Inspired by Gibson Collection, this Slash Les Paul Standard Appetite Burst in the iconic Amber high gloss finish is an absolute beast of an instrument. Built in January 2022 at the Qingdao factory in China, this guitar celebrates one of the most famous signature models in rock history.

Having bought, sold, and played countless Fenders, Gibsons, and Epiphones over the years, the Inspired by Gibson series stands right up there among my absolute favourites for value, build quality, and sheer playability. This particular example has that intangible magical “mojo” thing going on, it is just one of those guitars that you pick up and find yourself just not putting down!

Underneath that carved hard maple cap and beautiful flame maple veneer, you get a solid mahogany body paired with Slash’s personal custom C-shape neck profile. Electronics-wise, it comes factory loaded with Epiphone Custom ProBucker Alnico 2 humbuckers, wired to high-quality CTS potentiometers and genuine Orange Drop capacitors. This setup gives you that unmistakable Slash tone: warm, touch-sensitive cleans that roll effortlessly into raw, articulate, biting lead tones with incredible sustain. You also get factory Epiphone strap locks, nickel hardware, and Slash’s signature "Skully" logo on the back of the headstock.

Condition-wise, I go through all my guitars thoroughly on the bench so I can notice, rectify, and inform you of any visual imperfections, no matter how small. During the setup inspection, I noted a few minor cosmetic details: there was a small dent near the Low E tuner on the headstock, which I have sympathetically filled and polished to prevent any chipping and ensure it feels smooth to the touch under your fingers. There is also a very minor, surface-only lacquer crack near the bridge height adjuster, a repaired Low E tuner mechanism, and some light natural aging/pitting on the nickel stopbar tailpiece. Everything mentioned above is purely cosmetic and does not affect the structure or playability in any way.

The included original Epiphone custom hardshell case has a few minor cosmetic marks from handling, but again these are purely superficial and the case is 100% solid and fully functional.

As with all instruments that pass through my hands at Sosbro Guitar Co., this guitar has just undergone a thorough professional refurbishment and setup to ensure it arrives stage ready and plays at its absolute best. Full setups in most retail shops are expensive, and because of the high cost of paying a guitar tech, very few guitars, even brand new off the shelf or second-hand ever get a proper going over before being sold. The added value of buying through Sosbro Guitar Co. is that I have personally already done all that hard work for you. During its service, I removed the old strings, cleaned the fretwire, polished the frets, cleaned and tested all the volume/tone pots and the pickup switch, and polished the entire body. Finally, it was restrung with a fresh set of D’Addario XL Nickel Wound strings (9-42 gauge), tuned, and correctly intonated, dialed in with a comfortable low action that makes it an absolute dream to play.

Due to the extensive workshop setup, this guitar genuinely plays better than the day it left the factory. Considering these were retailing around £800+ new, getting a fully serviced, killer-playing Appetite Burst complete with its original custom hardshell case & Epiphone strap locks for £575 is a serious bargain. These signature models never hang around long, so don't miss out!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
